struct Manifold
Section titled “struct Manifold”What the narrow phase knows about one overlap: the axis it happened on, and how deep it is.
This is the value PHILOSOPHY's Collision section names, and having it be a value is most of the point: it is a measurement - an axis and a depth, from one query - rather than a classification.
normal
Section titled “normal”Unit length, pointing from the first shape towards the second.
penetration
Section titled “penetration”float penetration = 0.0f;How far the two overlap along normal. Always greater than zero: a manifold only exists where there is an overlap, and shapes that merely touch do not overlap.
Related types
Section titled “Related types”Named in the public declarations above: Vector2F.
In the samples and tests
Section titled “In the samples and tests”No sample or test includes this header directly.
